Weirdest spots on I-95
I'm taking a road trip with my friend from New Jersey to Florida. We haven't planned anything out, its out of the blue that we are just leaving. I want to know some of the strangest places you came across. (stuff like South of the Border)

I think it's still there.
Other weird things --
Through South Carolina there are loads of fireworks stands. Some of them are worth stopping at (outside of South of the Border, which is a mandatory stop for first-time travelers to Florida).
If you've never been to a real truckstop, it's worth the adventure.
The welcome centers as you enter each state aren't what you'd call 'weird', but they're worth stopping at to pick up coupons, maps, etc. When you approach the counter, ask for a map of the state, they usually don't leave 'em out but they will give one to you if you ask and you sign the guestbook - which you should do, anyway. It helps justify their continued existence.
Florida itself is not without its weird attractions.
Maybe I'm an old weirdo, I don't know. But I have always taken slides on my many trips to Florida. I now have around 20-25 Carousel wheels full of slides. Some things on them no longer exist (like some of the extinct, dumpier spring training parks). Some aren't open to the public anymore (like Cypress Gardens).
If you're a young person -- take lots of pics. Some of these things just won't be around in the future, and in any event, it'll be a hoot to pull those out 20 years from now.

I think one of the funniest things (to me anyway) is after you pass South of the Border you start to to see more and more of these big billboards for "gentlemans clubs". Live entertainment, all night buffets, open 24 hour "toy" stores all including hot ladies. I think it is hilarious because we do not have any billboards like that in Massachusettes!
