Charleston,SC Recommendations?
Any recommendations for a nice place...not heavy food....if on restaurant.com even better....if proven good!

There are lots of nice restaurants but--assuming you're not looking for "road food" in this case--one of my favorites is a place called Fleet Landing.
The thing about this place is that everything is a mixed bag: it's a midlevel place (price-wise; about $30/person) that allows casual dress. The interior decor makes it look like a Red Lobster, but it's still got a classy feel. (The exterior may take you aback a little bit; it's a former Navy building.) The food is traditional Southern Low Country with a contemporary presentation. They'll probably be busy but you won't feel rushed, nor will you feel as though they've lost track of you.
I strongly recommend getting reservations if you go anytime other than lunch. But I think you'll have a pretty good time.
ETA: Another place I found on my most recent trip (July 2012) is a local chain called Gilligan's. It's a seafood-intensive place, but it does have food for everyone. It's a little more casual than Fleet Landing, so it's perhaps more kid-friendly.
