I-95 Reopens Between Exits 23 and 26
Crews complete repairs, testing around 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
PennDOT reopened I-95 between Exits 23 and 26 in Philadelphia at approximately 6:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20.
PennDOT's contractor built four support towers and jacked up the affected section of pavement to take the weight off of the deteriorated reinforced concrete column.
PennDOT closed I-95 between Exits 23 and 26 in Philadelphia Monday evening (Mar. 17) for emergency repairs after determining that the bridge support near the Girard Avenue Interchange was deteriorating faster than expected.
