Even in today's current prices in the high $3's and $4/gallon there are even a few locations where "gas wars" are going on, stations beating prices of their neighbor stations.

And noting that Prices have come down about $1 a gallon over October 2008. Recently over the last few weeks the bargains seem to be regular gas below $2 a gallon in many states. Quite a few states reporting gas prices below $2 actually. Also in NJ many stations charging about 8 to 10 cents a gallon more if using a credit card rather than paying cash.
