How pretty Is I95 In Maine?

Postby syrupmi » Sun May 20, 2012 5:01 pm

I've never been to New England but I'm Planing a two week trip in July. Part of it is taking a bus from Presque Isle Me To Boston. I plan an overnight in Augusta. My question is how view worthy is this route? This would be on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being a trip through the cascades mountains from Eugene OR to Klamath Fall OR. 3 being Southfield MI to Chicago, (there a weird church outside Kalamazoo Mi and Gary IN is so odd looking it's kind of cool. Also the Chicago Skyway is kind of neat.)

Scale of 1 - 10. I'll give it a 3.5. Route via I - 95 is not very elevated or particularly scenic.

Well my trip is done. I'm back in Michigan, (sigh.) On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give I-95 in Maine a 6.5. Obviously the best parts are north Of Bangor, especially the last 50 miles to Houlton. The rest is still more scenic than 1-94 in Michigan, (yawn.)
