Good Stops/Playgrounds For The Kids?

Just how do you keep the little rug rats occupied while on the road?

Good Stops/Playgrounds For The Kids?

Postby Scott MacKay » Wed Nov 27, 2002 11:34 pm

I'll be travelling from Atlantic Canada to Orlando in the next couple of weeks. Are there any good playgrounds to give the kids a break along the I95?
Any help would be appreciated.

Try "South of the Border" at the North Carolina/South Carolina State Line. You can't miss it. You'll see South of the Border billboards along I-95 for hundreds of miles before you get there.

Here is an idea for the Richmond, VA area. Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens has a nice cafeteria and plenty of open space. It is not far from I-95 however, there is an admission fee for the garden. The website is www.lewisginter.org.

There are quite a few McDonlds along 95 that have playlands. That way you can kill two birds with one stone. You can stop for a quite bite and the kids can run off some energy. Keep an eye on the billboards. They usually advertise.
