I-95 Detours, Ramp Closures in Rhode Island This Week

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following lane and ramp closures on I-95 this week:

Providence/Cranston: I-95 North at Elmwood Ave., ramp closed for bridge work, thru Thursday night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour.

Providence: I-95 North and South, from Exit 9 (Rte. 4) to Exit 19 (I-195/Eddy St.), alternating lane and shoulder closures for bridge work, thru Thursday night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.

Richmond/Hopkinton: I-95 North and South, from Exit 1 (Rte. 3) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102), right shoulder closed for highway lighting work, Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

West Greenwich: I-95 North and South at Exit 5A (Rte. 102 South) and Exit 5B (Rte. 102 North), impacts anticipated at the acceleration and deceleration lanes by bridge work, thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please note: vehicles exiting I-95 South at Exit 5A, and I-95 North at Exit 5B will use the low speed lane, and those entering I-95 North and South will need to slow and yield to traffic as the acceleration lane will be closed during this operation.
