I-95 Lane and Ramp Closures in Rhode Island Thru April 15

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following lane and ramp closures on Interstate 95 thru April 15, 2016:

Temporary Exit Closure

  • Providence: I-95 South at Exit 22 (Rtes. 6 & 10/Downtown Providence), exit closed for construction, Monday thru Thursday nights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Follow signed detour using Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.)

Overnight

  • Pawtucket: I-95 North and South, from Exit 27 (George St.) to Exit 29 (Downtown), alternating lane closures for a bridge inspection, Monday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following day.
  • Providence: I-95 South at Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), access back to I-95 South restricted, Monday and Tuesday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. Please follow detour.
  • Providence: I-95 South, from Exit 23 (Rte. 146/State Offices) to Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), right lane closed for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Please note: ramp narrowing possible at Exit 22 (Rtes. 6 & 10/Downtown Providence).

Weekday

  • Providence: I-95 South, from Exit 20 (I-195) to the Point St. on-ramp, right shoulder closed for light pole installation, Monday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
