I-95 Northbound Lane Closure Scheduled Tomorrow in Georgia

The Georgia Department of Transportation  is reporting that there will be a northbound lane closure tomorrow between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on I-95 at Exit 49 in McIntosh County.

This right lane closure is a necessity for the contractor McLendon Enterprises Inc. to use heavy equipment in the roadway for the construction of the SR 251 replacement bridge over I-95 at Exit 49.

Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes.

This is a WORK ZONE and extreme caution is necessary. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds as they travel through this construction work zone.

Message signs, barrels and/or cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes.

All work is weather permitting.
