Funtown Splashtown USAFuntown-Splashtown USA is a small amusement and water park located right on US Route 1 in Saco, on Maine’s southern coast. The park started out as a simple roadside attraction with a few batting cages and a go cart track. Over the years it has gradually expanded to become Maine’s largest amusement park.

The park features “Excalibur”, Maine’s only wooden roller coaster, as well as “Thunder Falls”, New England’s longest and tallest log flume ride. The park also features a 220 foot tall freefall tower ride called the “Dragon’s Descent”. One of the park’s most popular rides is the Astrosphere, an indoor scrambler that features laser light and music effects. Park visitors claim that Astrosphere is the most unique special effects ride in all of New England.

Splashtown, the water park component, features “Pirate’s Paradise”, a large playground which every few minutes drops hundreds of gallons of water on to its guests. Splashtown also includes “Tornado” and “Mammoth”, two new 7-story water slides.
