We recently discovered a nice little restaurant on our travels up I-95 to Massachusetts. It’s called Nick’s Luncheonette, located in West Haven, Connecticut right off I-95, exit 42 (Saw Mill Road).
The building looks like it used to be a Pizza Hut. They are only open for breakfast and lunch only (they close at 3:00 pm and are open 7 days a week). They have all you could ask for as far as a homestyle breakfast is concerned. Bacon, eggs, home fries, omelettes, hash, muffins, toast… Lunch isn’t too shabby as well. Burgers, hotdogs, fries, sandwiches, salads, subs and wraps. Hungry yet?
Portions are respectable and prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and they have a family-style atmosphere. The rest rooms are super clean too.
Nick’s is so close to I-95… you can see it from the window. Easy on and off. This one’s a keeper!
