“Cocoa Beach Uncorked provides attendees a delicious culinary experience that highlights the different cuisines the Space Coast has to offer,” said Eric Garvey, Executive Director of Florida’s Space Coast Office of Tourism. “After a successful inaugural event a year ago, we look forward to further spotlighting the area’s culinary scene. And there’s no better place to enjoy some sweeping Atlantic views while sampling all this magnificent food, wine and beer.”

“Cocoa Beach last year was the ideal launching pad for the first ‘Uncorked’ festival on Florida’s East Coast,” said Tammy Gail, the event’s producer. “This is a one-of-a-kind showcase for the culinary treasures of this region. We’re excited to be back for another unforgettable weekend and we look forward to a sellout event.”

Cocoa Beach Uncorked is sponsored by Florida’s Space Coast Office of Tourism, the City of Cocoa Beach, Publix, and the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront hotel. General admission tickets for each day of the event are available for $55 per person, while VIP tickets for each day are $75 per person.

Alan Shepard Park is located at 299 East Cocoa Beach Causeway, at the east end of State Road 520. For more event and ticket information, visit www.cocoabeachuncorked.com/cocoa. For more information about Florida’s Space Coast, go to www.visitspacecoast.com.

Savor the Culinary Celebration at the Williamsburg Taste Festival

Greater Williamsburg is for foodies. Exhibit No. 1 entered into evidence for all you Top Chef judge wannabes is the Williamsburg Taste Festival destined to tickle your taste buds from April 19 to 22. After all, this is one place that savored farm- and sea-to-table centuries before it became a buzzword.

There are more than a dozen mouth-watering events, something for every taste. The area’s top chefs will be on hand, offering their modern take on local ingredients — from oysters to pork to seasonal veggies — just like the old days when they ate what was ripe and ready. Mixing the traditions of Southern, European and African cooking, they created something from the mist of history that is thoroughly modern and unique to Greater Williamsburg. And don’t forget the up-to-date, local takes on beer, wine and even mead made in these parts.

Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant – Newburyport, MA

Giuseppe’s is a great family restaurant with melt-in-your-mouth pasta made by Giuseppe himself. You can take-out or eat in.

They have delicious lasagne and other basics with specials on the gourmet end of the spectrum. The atmosphere is very informal and cozy… it’s just a hole-in-the-wall in a strip plaza (go east on Rte 113 about 1/4 mile, then right on Low St to first strip plaza on right.) but you will return.

Beer & wine are also available.

Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant is located just off I-95 Exit 57 in Newburyport, Massachusetts (257 Low Street)

Millhouse Steakhouse – Jacksonville, FL

I dined at this fabulous restaurant more than once. I was told by many of my I-95 road warriors friends that it was the best place for steaks on I-95.

It has been my 4th time at the Millhouse and I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed. It’s moderately priced for the quality served. I think it has one of the most extensive menus I have ever seen. All quality menu items.

This is a must try if you are traveling in north Florida on I-95.

Millhouse Steakhouse is located less than 1/2 mile west of I-95, Exit 363, (1341 Airport Road) in Jacksonville, Florida.

Andrades International Restaurant – Petersburg, VA

This is our favorite restaurant in lovely Old Towne, Petersburg, Virginia. They have plenty of free parking and are in the heart of the shopping area of renovated Old Towne.

Andrade’s serve Mexican, South and Central American cuisine with an upscale flair and in a lovely setting. We enjoy the large outside patio when it’s warm. They often have music in the Summer.

Andrade’s is located off I-95, Exit 52 at 7 Bollingbrook Street in Old Towne Petersburg.

Houlihan’s – Savannah, GA

Houlihan’s has no smoking anywhere in the restaurant, even at the bar! They have a huge menu and are open for Lunch and Dinner. The restaurant has a fair wine menu, a great beer menu, and a good list of cocktails. The food is great here! Try the ribs.

Make it a point to try Houlihan’s the next time you’re traveling I-95!

Houlihan’s is located just off I-95, Exit 94… look for the Savannah Festival Outlet Mall.

Mill House Restaurant – Brunswick, GA

The Mill House specializes in fresh seafood and certified Black Angus beef, and their steaks are the best Brunswick has to offer! You can also order your meals from your room.

We had a great meal there, with their specialty Streak with Gorganzola. Yum!

The Mill House Restaurant is attached to the new Holiday Inn located just of I-95 at Exit 38 in Brunswick, Georgia.
