On a recent trip down I-95 my wife and I had the opportunity to stop for lunch at a great restaurant in Groton, Connecticut. “Wood-n-Tap” looks to be a newer restaurant just off I-95, exit 86 (US Route 1).
We were promptly seated and our order was taken within a few minutes. The food was served rather quickly, which we appreciated because we had a long trip ahead of us.
I had the New England Clam Chowder and a Bacon Burger. My wife had their French Onion soup and a Blue Cheese Burger. Everything was very good and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable.
We will definitely stop here again and recommend this restaurant to I-95 travelers!
