Although I wouldn’t consider this a “resort”, it’s a nice campground with the beach on one end and the intercoastal waterway on the other. North Beach is actually on Vilano Beach, located about 3 miles north of St. Augustine on Hwy A1A.
The pavement ends at the front office, from there its flat sandy roads that wind through the deeply forested campground. Palmetto’s grow between each campsite so there is plenty of privacy. In some areas of the campground the palmetto’s were so thick you could barely see to the next site. The campground is so deeply forested that the roads in the campground seem like tunnels.
