Boyds Key West Campground has one thing going for it… it’s the closest campground to Key West. We were a bit hesitant when we got off of US Route 1 and headed towards Boyd’s. The neighborhood along the way to the campground appeared to be quite depressing. But once the campground appeared it looked like a lush tropical oasis.
The interior roads were mostly well maintained gravel. The campsites were quite close together with little privacy, but this is premium property and understandable. Actually we’ve stayed in other oceanside campgrounds in the northeast that were just as crowded.
