Our family loves Camp Hatteras RV Resort and have made it a regular yearly trip since 1998. Our usual stay is 10 to 14 days. We have stayed over the 4th of July week, when the campground is relatively crowded, and accomodations, bathhouses were kept clean and neat, despite the large number of campers.
The campground is gated and security patrolled, even at night. When we needed security (due to some loud late-night partyers) the situation was handled well. Late check-in is possible. Normal check-in flows smoothly, with a large pull-off for waiting campers.
