Rather than staying at one of our favorite nearby campgrounds, we decided to try something different… a random Google search for new campgrounds in the area found Turtle Kraal RV Park in Alton, New Hampshire.
Built by the owners, Turtle Kraal opened in 2013. The gated-entrance campground is a large open area carved out of New Hampshire forest. There are 147 large, full hook-up sites… some of the largest sites we’ve seen, with plenty of room for slide outs, awnings and a screen house. Even the largest rigs will have no problems here.

This is a relatively new campground located in Alton, New Hampshire… a cool little town in the Lakes Region. Quite park and within walking distance to a few stores and restaurants.
