Newick’s is genuine New England seafood… and about as fresh as you can get! Generous portions, great prices, in an informal, family atmosphere. And, what a view. The dining area has a panoramic view of New Hampshire’s “Great Bay”.
The building is nothing fancy, but once you get inside you’ll be hooked! You have to try the boiled lobster, nothing compares to it. (no, I do not work there but go there every time I’m in the area)
Newick’s Seafood Restaurant is a little difficult to find, but you won’t regret the trip. Take I-95 north or south to exit 4 and travel about 5 miles west on US Route 4 to Newington. It’s located on a frontage road and looks out on the “Great Bay”.

We had reservations at 1:00pm for 25+ people. We were seated promptly and the server took our drink order and then returned with our drinks. I asked for a couple of wedges of lime and she returned with the limes between her thumb and forefinger. I told her that I did not want them. Also my wife had ordered broiled scallops there was only 3 sea scallops and the rest were bay scallops. There were 3 baked potatoes that were not cooked properly… They were hard. Also the temperature of the food was warm at best. The rolls and coleslaw were good. That was the highlite of the meal. We have heard great reviews from our friends but this was truly a not so good dining experience. Thank you for taking the time to rectify this situation.
I particularly enjoyed their lobster roll, it was perfectly seasoned and they also had a generous portion of it. I’ll definitely be back here again soon!
Had a great New Year’s Eve meal at Newick’s! We were shown to a nice window table with a wonderful view of the dock and the bay. Our waitress, Lee, was friendly and attentive. As retirees, we look for good value and we got it. We got onion rings as an appetizer, yummy! Then we had “Fish and Chips”, substituting baked potatoes for the fries. The fish of the day was sole, perfectly fried and delicious. The slaw and potatoes were very good. I got a huge cranberry juice and my friend had coffee with a refill. The bill was under $35 and we each took home enough leftovers for another meal! Can’t beat it! Thank You Newick’s!
Newick’s has a second restaurant in Concord, New Hampshire (about 50 minutes west on US 4 from I-95). I’m hoping to give it try on my next visit up to Concord.
Sorry to tell you Jerry, the Concord location is closed. The building was torn down and replaced with a Texas Roadhouse.
