Lane Closures, Traffic Shifts for I-95 Construction in Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 southbound in New London, Monday, December 12, through Thursday, December 15, 2016. Lane closures will be required.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect various lane closures on I-95 SB from Exit 87 to Exit 84. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the day shift with a one lane closed pattern and the night shift will be from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. with a three lane closed pattern.

This I-95 construction project will require one day shift and one night shift to complete depending on weather. Shifts will be determined based on appropriate weather conditions

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
