Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation will be installing nighttime lane closures on I-95 at various bridges locations between Jimmy Deloach Parkway (Exit 106) and State Route 21 (Exit 109) starting on the northbound side then moving to the southbound side. Lane closures for this I-95 construction project are scheduled for Monday night, May 15 through Thursday night, May 18 from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Law Enforcement will be on site to enhance safety.

These temporary lane closures are necessary to lay polymer overlay on the bridge decks and replace bridge joints as part of I-95 bridge preservation project in Chatham County.

This I-95 construction project is a WORK ZONE and extreme caution is necessary. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds as they travel through this and all work zones. Message signs, barrels and/or cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes. Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes.
