As part of the Delaware Route 141 improvements, I-95 interchange to Jay Drive project, the Delaware Department of Transportation announces to motorists that two left lanes will be closed on I-95 southbound at 9:00 p.m. and three lanes will be closed at 10:00 p.m. for the demolition of the bridge.
Location: I-95 Southbound at Route 141 interchange AND I-295 Southbound to I-95 Southbound, Newport.
Dates: 8:00 p.m. on December 23, 2019 until 5:00 a.m. on December 24, 2019.
In addition, I-295 southbound to I-95 southbound will be closed beginning at 8:00 p.m.
Variable message boards will be posted to alert motorists of the upcoming lane and road closures.
Detour Route: Motorists will take Exit 5/Route 141 northbound and then Exit 3B to I-95 southbound (Newark/Baltimore).
Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
