The New Jersey Turnpike Authority reports that construction work will result in overnight closures this week of exit 13 from the southbound NJ Turnpike.
Interchange 13 of the New Jersey Turnpike will be closed to traffic overnight tonight, Friday and Saturday because of work associated with the Goethals Bridge Replacement Project. The scheduled closures are as follows:
- Thursday, November 3rd. The closure will begin at 7:30 p.m. and continue until 5 a.m. Friday.
- Friday, November 4th. The closure will begin at 7:30 p.m. and continue until 6 a.m. Saturday.
- Saturday, November 5th. The closure will begin at 9:30 p.m. and continue until 6 a.m. Sunday.
Detours will be set up during those hours at Interchanges 13A and 12 for southbound drivers traveling to the Goethals Bridge or other destinations near Interchange 13.
Northbound traffic will be able to exit at Interchange 13 as usual during the scheduled closures. The Goethals Bridge will remain open in both directions through all three nights.
The Goethals Bridge replacement is a project of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
