Cash collections will resume on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway on the morning of Tuesday, May 19th.

All tolls have been collected either by E-ZPass or by the temporary toll-by-mail process since March 24th when cash collections were suspended as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19. Drivers who do not have E-ZPass accounts will need to be prepared to pay with cash once cash collections resume.

When toll collectors return to the booths, they will be wearing gloves, face masks, and plastic face shields. Drivers who intend to pay with cash are encouraged to wear face masks themselves as they travel through the toll lanes.

The coin lanes on Parkway entry and exit ramps will also reopen on May 19th.

Drivers who have traveled on the Turnpike or Parkway since cash collections were suspended are reminded to pay the amount due by the date listed on their toll-by-mail invoices to avoid being charged an administrative fee.
