The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reports that, weather permitting, the Dale City Truck-Only Safety Rest Area South at mile marker 154 along southbound I-95 just before Route 234/Dumfries Road (Exit 152) will have daytime concrete paving Thursday, June 19; Friday, June 20; Saturday, June 21; and Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day, but will remain open at all times.
Paving crews will use traffic control and alternating traffic patterns and lanes within the truck-only rest area while the work occurs.
Drivers and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
