The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that barrier installation, bridge deck repair, and lane adjustments are planned at night this week on I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

  • Monday, September 29, through Friday, October 3, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures will be in place on I-95 in both directions between the Allegheny Avenue (exit 25) and Cottman Avenue (exit 30) interchanges.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $355.3 million I-95/BR3 project to widen and reconstruct northbound I-95 between Wheatsheaf Lane to just north of Margaret Street.
