The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) has started day and night work on I-95 northbound and southbound between mile marker 8.0 and mile marker 13.3. This work is expected to continue through September 2026.
Weather permitting, work will consist of the installation of median barrier and guardrail on I-95 beginning just north of mile marker 8.0 in North Hampton proceeding north through Greenland and ending just north on mile marker 13.2 in Portsmouth. Single lane closures and shoulder closures will be implemented on the northbound and southbound barrels of I-95 to facilitate this work.
Uniformed officers will assist with traffic control and be present throughout the project’s completion. Road users are reminded to adhere to the Move Over Law (Sherrill’s Law) when approaching the work area and drive carefully through the work zone.
This $4.6 million project is scheduled for completion of September 2026.
