The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a full closure of the ramp from I-95 to Aramingo Avenue (Exit 26) at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange, effective Thursday, March 26, in Northeast Philadelphia.
I-95 Travel Advisory Details:
- Closure Period: Thursday, March 26, 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.
- Affected Route: Ramp from I-95 South to Aramingo Avenue at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange.
Recommended I-95 Detour:
Motorists will be directed to:
- Exit at Girard Avenue Interchange (Exit 23).
- Turn left onto Aramingo Avenue.
- Turn left onto Delaware Avenue/Richmond Street.
- Re-enter I-95 North via the on-ramp at Schirra Drive to reach the Aramingo Avenue/Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange.
All operations are contingent upon favorable weather conditions. PennDOT strongly recommends allowing additional travel time on northbound I-95, as significant backups and delays are anticipated. All work is weather permitting and subject to change. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for traveling on northbound I-95 because backups and delays will occur.
