The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will conduct temporary lane closures on part of I-95 North and South in Dillon County to shift traffic on to the newly completed riding surface beginning September 7. The closures will take place between mile markers 185 and 186.
A schedule of the closures can be found below:
- Southbound: Sunday, September 7, at 7:00 p.m. through Tuesday, September 9, at 6:00 a.m.
- Northbound: Tuesday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m. through Thursday, September 11, at 6:00 a.m.
Lanes will be addressed one at a time to maintain traffic flow, with the inside lane beginning only after the outside lane is complete.
Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes and plan their route ahead of time, as delays are likely
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving through the work zone.
