The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) reports that contractors will initiate alternating lane closures on both directions of I-95, from Park Avenue to Thurbers Avenue (exit 35), Sunday-Thursday nights from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

On Friday night, September 26, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., RIDOT anticipates shifting traffic to the right on I-95 North, from Elmwood Avenue (exit 34) to Thurbers Avenue (exit 35). This will help us facilitate construction for the Eddy Street and Broad Street bridges. Although no lane closures are required, they are also expected to continue demolition at the Jefferson Boulevard Bridge.

RIDOT appreciates the continued patience of the motoring public and apologizes in advance for any noise these operations may cause.
