Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will conduct overnight full closures of northbound and southbound I-95 between Exit 249 for S.R. 44 and Exit 256 for Taylor Road/Dunlawton Avenue beginning Wednesday, September 23.
The closures will occur nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to place beams as part of the I-95 at Pioneer Trail Interchange project.
I-95 Closure Dates and Detour Information
Northbound I-95 Closure
Northbound I-95 will be fully closed at Exit 249 for S.R. 44 on Wednesday, September 23; Thursday, September 24; and Sunday, September 27. Closures are scheduled nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Northbound Detour: Motorists will exit northbound I-95 at Exit 249 and turn left onto S.R. 44. Motorists will continue to Airport Road and turn right, then turn left onto Williamson Boulevard and right onto Taylor Road/Dunlawton Avenue to return to northbound I-95.
Southbound I-95 Closure
Southbound I-95 will be fully closed at Exit 256 for Taylor Road/Dunlawton Avenue from Monday, September 28, through Wednesday, September 30. Closures are scheduled nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Southbound Detour: Motorists will exit southbound I-95 at Exit 256 and turn right onto Taylor Road/Dunlawton Avenue. Motorists will continue to Williamson Boulevard and turn left, then turn right onto Airport Road and left onto S.R. 44 to return to southbound I-95.
Construction schedules may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. FDOT advises motorists to reduce speed, follow posted signage, and exercise extra caution while traveling through the work zone.
