The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) reports that drivers using the Fort McHenry Tunnel on I-95 in Baltimore should plan for overnight lane closures from Monday, August 31 through Thursday, September 3, 2026. Motorists are reminded to obey speed limits and stay in their lane. The schedule is tentative and may change due to weather, traffic, emergencies, or priority work.
Monday, August 31:
The Southbound Bore 2 (left tube) and Northbound Bore 3 (left tube) are scheduled to be closed at 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the following morning for maintenance operations.
Tuesday, September 1:
The Southbound Bore 2 (left tube) and Northbound Bore 3 (left tube) are scheduled to be closed at 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the following morning for maintenance operations.
Wednesday, September 2:
