The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reports that following I-95 traffic impacts in the Fredericksburg area from Sunday, March 8 through Saturday, March 14. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound
Exit 118 (Thornburg) to Exit 126 (Spotsylvania)
Tuesday – Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Mobile double lane closures for soil sampling work between mile markers 119-120.
Interstate 95 Northbound
Exit 126 (Spotsylvania) Off-Ramp to Route 1 Southbound
Monday – Friday, from 10:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. The off-ramp from I-95 northbound to Route 1 southbound at exit 126B in Spotsylvania will close nightly on Monday, March 9, through early Friday, March 13. The off-ramp will close nightly at 10:00 p.m. and reopen by 4:00 a.m. Northbound I-95 motorists should use the most convenient alternate interchange, either exit 118 (Thornburg) or exit 130 (Route 3).
