I-95 travelers passing through Connecticut this summer should be aware of the following bridge construction project in the Stonington area that may impact their trip.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing bridge work will be performed on bridge carrying Anguilla road over I-95 North in Stonington. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, June 30 and be completed on Thursday, August 7, 2025. This project ensures the bridge remains in a state of good repair.
I-95 Closure/Detour Information:
There will be right and left lane closures on I-95 north Between Exits 91 and 92 from Monday, June 30 to Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work to be completed Monday through Thursday. No work to be Performed on Fridays. Traffic control signing patterns and Crash Units will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
