I-95 Lane Closures in Several Fredericksburg Locations Thru October 19

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reports the following traffic impacts from construction and maintenance work on I-95 in the Fredericksburg area thru Saturday, October 19, 2024. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

I-95 Northbound and Southbound

Exit 104 (Carmel Church) to Exit 136 (Centreport Parkway)
Wednesday – Thursday, 9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Single lane closures for mobile operation to repair potholes between mile markers 101-136.

Exit 143 (Aquia/Garrisonville) to Exit 148 (Quantico)
Monday – Thursday, 9:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. Varying single and double lane closures for bridge maintenance at mile marker 145, at the Aquia Creek Bridge. Single lane closure begins at 9:00 p.m. followed by a double lane closure starting at 10:00 p.m.

I-95 Southbound

Exit 133 (Route 17) to Exit 130 (Route 3)
Monday – Wednesday, 9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Right lane closure on the local lanes bridge over the Rappahannock River for routine bridge inspection.

I-95 Northbound

Exit 130 (Route 3) to Exit 133 (Route 17)
Thursday – Friday, 9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Right lane closure on the through lanes bridge over the Rappahannock River for routine bridge inspection.

Exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) to Exit 140 (Courthouse Road)
Monday – Thursday, 9:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. Varying single and double lane closures for bridge maintenance at mile marker 137, at the Potomac Creek bridge. Single lane closure begins at 9:00 p.m. followed by a double lane closure starting at 10:00 p.m.
