The Maine Turnpike Authority (MTA) has issued its I-95 turnpike weekly construction advisory, alerting motorists to scheduled lane closures, maintenance work and reduced speed limits along the turnpike. Drivers should plan ahead, use caution in work zones and watch for posted traffic controls.
Southern Maine: Kittery to Portland
- York–Portland, mile markers 0–49: Rolling lane closures in both directions October 19–22, from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for line striping.
- Kittery–Scarborough, mile markers 2–44: Overnight rolling lane closures in both directions October 22–23, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., for median mowing.
- York, mile markers 4–12: Lane closures in both directions October 20–21, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., for fall maintenance and gantry inspection. Speed limit reduced to 60 mph.
- York, mile markers 12–9 southbound: Overnight lane closures October 19–22, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., for crack sealing. Speed limit reduced to 60 mph.
- Kennebunk, mile markers 23–27: Lane closures in both directions October 21–23, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., for removal of traffic control devices. Speed limit reduced to 60 mph.
- Scarborough–Portland, mile markers 44–46: Overnight lane closures in both directions October 18–22, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., for bridge repairs. Speed limit reduced to 50 mph.
Greater Portland to Gray
- Portland–Falmouth, mile markers 48–54: Northbound overnight lane closures October 19–22, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for contractor test boring. Speed limit reduced to 50 mph.
- Falmouth–Gray, mile markers 54–60: Overnight lane closures in both directions October 18–22, from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., for catch basin and berm corrections. Speed limit reduced to 50 mph.
- Cumberland–Gray, mile markers 57–64: Lane closures in both directions October 19–22, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., for sign replacement, guardrail repairs and oil spill cleanup. Speed limit reduced to 60 mph.
New Gloucester to West Gardiner
- New Gloucester–Auburn, mile markers 68–75: Lane closures in both directions October 19–23, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., for berm drop-off and catch basin work. Speed limit reduced to 50 mph.
- Auburn–Sabattus, mile markers 74–85: Northbound lane closures October 19–22, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for milling and median drain pipe repairs. Speed limit reduced to 60 mph.
- Androscoggin River Bridge: Right lanes in both directions remain closed behind concrete barriers for bridge repairs. The advisory lists work October 5–31, with closures in place until further notice. Speed limit reduced to 60 mph.
- Auburn–Lewiston, mile markers 78–79.8: Northbound lane closures October 19–23, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for parapet repairs and milling at the Androscoggin River Bridge. Speed limit reduced to 60 mph.
- Sabattus–Lewiston, mile markers 80–79 southbound: Lane closures October 19–20, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., for work at the River and Goddard Road bridges. Speed limit reduced to 50 mph.
- Litchfield, mile marker 91: Both northbound and southbound shoulders remain closed behind permanent barriers. Work is listed through October 31, with closures continuing until completion.
- West Gardiner, mile markers 103–105: Lane closures in both directions October 19–22, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., for TransCore maintenance. Speed limit reduced to 50 mph.
