    I-95 Southbound Closed Near Fayetteville

    North Carolina | I-95 Road Closed | I-95 Exit Guide

    The North Carolina Department of Transportation reports that I-95 southbound is closed near Fayetteville.

    All Lanes of I-95 southbound are closed near Dunn at Exit 71 (Long Branch Road) due to flooding.

    The road is expected to reopen by 8:30 AM, September 17, 2018.


    NCDOT Suggests the following Detour

    1. Motorists should take Exit 81-A for I-40 West.
    2. Continue on I-40 West until reaching Exit 293 at Raleigh.
    3. Take Exit 293-A for US-1 South.
    4. Follow US-1 South for 65 Miles until reaching US-15/501 South, South of Aberdeen.
    5. Turn left onto US-15/501 South and continue for 26 miles then turn left onto US-74 East.
    6. Continue on US-74 East for 26 miles then take Exit 209-A for I-95 South.

    NCDOT Alternate Route:

    1. Take Exit 138-B for US-64 West.
    2. Take US-64 West until reaching I-440 and use the right two lanes for Exit 419 to I-440 West.
    3. Continue on I-440 West for 14 miles then stay in the left two lanes to continue onto US-1 South.
    4. Follow US-1 South for 65 Miles until reaching US-15/501 South, South of Aberdeen.
    5. Turn left onto US-15/501 South and continue for 26 miles then turn left onto US-74 East.
    6. Continue on US-74 East for 26 miles then take Exit 209-A for I-95 South.
