The Maine Turnpike Authority (MTA) reports the following traffic impacts on I-95 (Maine Turnpike) as a result of planned road work for the coming week. Lane closures may change due to weather or unexpected issues.
Weekly and Daily Road Work
Kittery (mile marker 1.5)
January 11 – 16
Southbound lane closed on Route 1 under Ramp J bridge from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM for bridge work. Northbound lanes closed on Ramp J and Ramp M bridges. Drive carefully in this area.
Wells (mile marker 17-19)
January 20 – 23
Northbound right lane closed from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for cleaning along the roadside. Speed limit drops to 60 MPH.
Saco River Bridge (mile marker 33-34)
January 22 – 23
Southbound right lane closed from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM for pouring concrete on the bridge. Speed limit drops to 60 MPH.
Portland Forest Ave Bridge (mile marker 49-50)
January 19
Northbound left lane closed for pothole fixes on the Forest Ave bridge from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Speed limit drops to 50 MPH.
Lewiston (mile marker 79-81)
January 20
Northbound right lane closed from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for street light fixes. Speed limit drops to 60 MPH.
Sabattus (mile marker 88.4)
January 20
Southbound right lane closed from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM for light pole fixes. Speed limit drops to 60 MPH.
New Gloucester – Augusta (mile marker 67-109)
January 22
Northbound and southbound slow-moving lane closures from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for road fixes. Drive carefully in this area.
