The Maine Turnpike Authority (MTA) is advising travelers of scheduled fuel outages occurring today at several MTA service plazas. These temporary pauses in fuel service are due to a change in point‑of‑sale systems.Travelers should plan for about a two‑hour pause in fuel service at the service plaza listed below. All other plaza amenities will remain open.
August 11, 2026 Fuel Service Interruption *Schedule:
West Gardiner Plaza: Begins at 7:00 a.m.
Gray (Northbound): Begins at 10:00 a.m.
Cumberland (Southbound): Begins at 11:00 a.m.
Kennebunk (Southbound): Begins at 2:00 p.m.
Kennebunk (Northbound): Begins at 4:00 p.m.
*Exact timelines may be subject to change. As a result, some plazas may resume fuel service slightly earlier or later than planned.
The MTA encourages travelers to plan ahead and fuel up accordingly and extends its appreciation to the public for their patience.
