The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will open a new flyover bridge at the I-26/I-95 Interchange Project in Orangeburg and Dorchester counties on Thursday, October 22.

The flyover bridge will connect I-95 southbound to I-26 eastbound. The new ramp will replace the loop that previously connected the two interstates. That loop will be permanently taken out of service and replaced by the flyover bridge.

To facilitate the traffic shift, lane closures will be active on I-26 and I-95 intermittently throughout the course of the operation.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
