The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will be closing/shifting I-95 Southbound at the Route 141 interchange to the deceleration lanes.
In addition, I-295 southbound to I-95 southbound, Exit 5A/I-95 Southbound to Route 141 Southbound and Exit 3B/Route 141 northbound to I-95 southbound will also be closed. These nighttime closures are necessary for striping and will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2020 until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
Detour Routes:
I-95 southbound: Motorists will use the right lane signed for Route 141 ramps and stay on the deceleration lanes and merge back onto I-95 southbound.
I-295 southbound to I-95 southbound merge will be closed. For traffic on southbound I-295 to I-95 southbound, motorists will take the ramp Exit 5/Route 141 northbound (Newport) then take Exit 3B to I-95 Southbound (Newark/Baltimore).
For motorists traveling I-495 southbound to I-95 southbound will take the ramp Exit 5. Motorists should stay on the right lane to Route 141 ramps and stay on the deceleration lanes and merge back onto I-95 southbound.
For motorists traveling I-495 southbound to I-295 northbound stay to the left to exit onto I-295 northbound 295 northbound.
Exit 3B Route 141 Northbound to I-95 Southbound: Motorists on northbound Route 141, will take the Exit 4 ramp to Route 4, continue straight onto Marshall Street, turn left onto westbound Route 4/Justis Street, turn left onto James Street, turn left onto eastbound Route 4 (Market Street), take the ramp to Route 141 southbound, and take the Exit 3B ramp to I-95 southbound.
Exit 5A I-95 Southbound to Route 141 Southbound: Motorists will take the Exit 5B ramp to Route 141 northbound, take the Exit 4 ramp to Route 4, continue straight onto Marshall Street, turn left onto westbound Route 4/Justis Street, turn left onto James Street, turn left onto eastbound Route 4 (Market Street), and take the Exit 3B ramp to southbound Route 141.
Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
