The Maine Turnpike Authority reports that, starting Monday, May 11, contractors will begin completing the remaining work at I-95, Exit 35. The interchange opened to traffic late last fall, but additional work is still required on Route 112 and on the turnpike between Exits 35 and 36.
The first phase of work on Route 112 may require traffic shifts or flagger‑controlled traffic. Drivers should be prepared for changing traffic patterns and potential delays. Sidewalk detours will also be necessary. This phase includes slope work along the mainline of the turnpike between the exits. This work is expected to be completed by the end of June.
The next phase includes work at the intersection of the northbound Exit 35 ramps, Route 112, and Lund Road. There will be traffic stoppages and lane shifts as crews install a mast arm for the traffic signal. This work is anticipated to take place in mid to late summer.
