The District Department of Transportation (DOT) announced in observance of Memorial Day there will be a suspension of work in the District from 12:00 pm Friday, May 25, 2018 through Monday, May 28, 2018.

Lane closures and work zones will not be allowed for non-emergency work in roadways, alleys and sidewalks within the District’s Right-of-Way. This includes manhole access and construction related deliveries.

Approved activities may resume Tuesday, May 29, 2018, during permitted work hours.

DDOT also announced that it will not implement weekday rush-hour reversible lanes during the Memorial Day holiday Monday, May 28, 2018.

Parking restrictions will be enforced along Constitution Avenue, NW, from 7th Street to 17th Street for the annual Memorial Day parade. No parking signs will be posted with the hours of enforcement.

Motorists may encounter delays if driving in the vicinity of the parade and may wish to consider alternative routes. DDOT reminds drivers to use caution around the area as increased pedestrian traffic is anticipated.

Parking enforcement occurs daily, including weekends and holidays, on the DC Streetcar corridor along H Street and Benning Road, NE, between 3rd Street and Oklahoma Ave, NE.

Regular weekday reversible lane restrictions and parking enforcement resume Tuesday, May 29.
