Detours Planned This Week for I-95 at MLK Jr. Parkway Improvement Project

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that, as part of an interchange improvement project on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and I-95, nightly lane closures and detours are scheduled through Friday, April 26 for barrier wall operations, overbuild operations for barrier walls, and pavement and lighting operations.

I-95 Southbound from MLK Eastbound Detour

The on-ramp to I-95 southbound from Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway eastbound will be closed nightly through Friday, April 26 between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. for barrier wall and concrete removal operations.

As a detour, drivers will take MLK eastbound to the Boulevard Street Exit to the westbound MLK on-ramp, onto the I-95 southbound on- ramp.

Exit 354A from I-95 Northbound to MLK Eastbound Detour

Exit 354A from I-95 northbound to Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway eastbound will be closed nightly through Friday, April 26 between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. for asphalt paving and pavement marking operations.

As a detour, drivers will I-95 northbound to Golfair Boulevard eastbound, take Main Street southbound and then take MLK westbound.

Exit 354B from I-95 Southbound to MLK Westbound Detour

The exit ramp from I-95 southbound to Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway westbound will be closed nightly through Friday, April 26 between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. for repairs to overhead street lighting.

As a detour, drivers will take the exit ramp 354A to MLK eastbound to the Boulevard Street Ramp to the MLK westbound ramp.

I-95 Northbound and Exit Ramp 354B Detour

The I-95 northbound outside lane and exit ramp 354B will be closed from 8th Street to the MLK westbound exit ramp nightly through Friday, April 26 between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. for asphalt paving and pavement marking
operations.

As a detour, drivers will take I-95 northbound to the Golfair Boulevard exit to I-95 southbound to the eastbound MLK exit.

On-Ramp from MLK Westbound & Eastbound to I-95 Northbound Detour

The on-ramp from Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway westbound and eastbound to I-95 northbound will be closed nightly through Friday, April 26 between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. for barrier wall operations.

As a detour for MLK westbound, drivers will take MLK westbound to the I-95 southbound on-ramp to 8th Street West, then exit to the I-95 northbound on-ramp.

As a detour for MLK eastbound, drivers will take the on-ramp to I-95 southbound to the 8th Street West exit, to the I-95 northbound on-ramp.

This $7.9 million interchange improvements project is estimated to be complete by early 2027, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
