    I-95 Double Lane Closures September 13-18 in Chesterfield and Henrico Counties

    Virginia I-95 Traffic | I-95 Construction | I-95 Exit Guide

    The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reports the following I-95 construction activities that will impact travel through the area, for the period of September 13 through September 18. All work is weather permitting and subject to change.

    • I-95 north in Chesterfield
      Weather permitting, work is scheduled nightly from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. September 13-18. Crews will be implementing northbound I-95 double lane closures between mile markers 60 and 62 for repairs to the Coxendale Road overpass in Chesterfield. The northbound Route 288 ramp (Exit 62) will also close with a detour which is to continue northbound on I-95 and take Exit 64, turn left onto Willis Road, take the southbound I-95 ramp to I-95 back to northbound Route 288.
    • I-95 south in Henrico
      Weather permitting, work will take place nightly September 13-16 from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and on September 17 from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Crews will be implementing southbound I-95 double lane closures at mile marker 81 near the Dumbarton Road overpass in Henrico. Concurrently, the northbound and southbound Brook Road ramps to southbound I-95 will be closed with the following detours:
    • Northbound Brook Road traffic: Continue past the ramp closure to eastbound Parham Road and back to southbound I-95.
    • Southbound Brook Road traffic: Take eastbound Wilmer Avenue, northbound U.S. 301 (Chamberlayne Road), and westbound Parham Road back to southbound I-95.
