The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) reports that I-95 southbound Exit 68 to Route 46 eastbound is scheduled to be closed March 13, 2026 in Ridgefield, Bergen County.
Beginning at 11:00 p.m., Friday, March 13 until 6:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, the I-95 southbound Exit 68 ramp to Route 46 eastbound is scheduled to be closed to make concrete deck repairs on the I-95 ramp over Route 46. The following detour will be in place:
I-95 southbound Exit 68 ramp to Route 46 eastbound Detour:
- Motorists on I-95 southbound wishing to take the Exit 68 ramp to Route 46 eastbound/Ridgefield will be directed to take the ramp to Route 46 westbound/Ridgefield Park
- Stay straight onto Route 46 westbound
- Go through the Ridgefield Avenue intersection to turn right onto Main Street, which is just past the Lukoil Gas Station
- Go past Brewster Avenue and turn left to follow the Truck Route
- Turn left onto Main Street Bypass
- Go under Route 46
- Turn left to follow signs for Route 46 East/New York/NJ Turnpike/Hamilton Inn
- Turn left onto Main Street
- Turn right onto Route 46 eastbound
The work is part of the $12.2 million state-funded maintenance contract that will make repairs to concrete structures at various locations throughout Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, Union and Warren counties.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
