The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) has begun a project to paint four overpass bridges on I-95.
Work this year consists of the maintenance repainting of the Post Road (Route 151) overpass bridge in North Hampton and the Ocean Road overpass bridge in Greenland. In 2027, the toll plaza Exit 2 Ramp bridge and the Walnut Avenue bridge in North Hampton will be completed.
Much of the work will be performed at night between 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM within temporary lane closure work zones beneath the bridges. Activities will include surface preparation, painting, and installation of environmental protection measures necessary to safely remove and contain lead-based paint in accordance with environmental regulations.
Road users are reminded to adhere to the Move Over Law (Sherrill’s Law) when approaching the work area, remain alert, and obey all message boards and posted signs. This project which is expected to be completed in September of 2027.
