I-95 travelers passing through Maine should be aware of lane and shoulder closures at various locations that may impact their trip.
The Maine Turnpike Authority (MTA) reports the following traffic impacts on I-95 (Maine Turnpike) through April 25, 2025, All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Wells – Ogunquit (Mile Marker 13-20):
Expect north and southbound lane closures from April 22-25 for maintenance.
6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.
Wells (Mile Marker 18-19):
North and southbound left lanes are closed from thru May 11 for ongoing work.
Saco (Mile Marker 33-35):
Lane closures from April 22-25 for maintenance and repair
6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
One lane traffic on Route 112 from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Speed limit is 60 MPH.
Saco (Mile Marker 38-36):
Southbound shoulder closure from April 22-25 for maintenance
6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Scarborough – Portland (Mile Marker 42-49):
Northbound lane closed from April 22-25
8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Speed reduced to 50 MPH.
Scarborough (Exit 44):
Northbound lane closed on April 23 for guardrail work
3:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Speed limit reduced to 60 MPH.
Falmouth Spur:
Lane closures east and westbound from April 22-25 for bridge maintenance
6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Speed limit is 50 MPH.
Lewiston (Mile Marker 74.5):
Lane closures from April 22-25 for bridge repairs
6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Speed limit is 60 MPH.
Lewiston (Mile Marker 79):
Left lane closures north and southbound until May 9 for bridge repairs.
Sabattus (Mile Marker 88):
Southbound lane closed from April 22-23 for maintenance.
7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Speed limit reduced to 60 MPH.
