I-95 Ramp Closure, Detour in Houlton Next Week

The Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing Exit 302 Southbound on-and off-ramps on I-95 next week to accommodate paving work. The closures begin Monday, August 5 at 7:00 p.m. and goes until 6:00 a.m. each night, until August 8. The contractor on this work is Northeast Paving of Hermon. This work is part of a larger $9.8-million contract.

I-95 Ramp Closure Details

During the specified hours, both the on-ramps and off-ramps at Exit 302 Southbound on I-95 will be inaccessible. This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of workers and motorists alike, allowing uninterrupted progress on the paving activities.

Motorists traveling through the area during the closure periods should anticipate delays and plan alternate routes accordingly. Detour signs will be prominently placed to guide drivers around the closed ramps and maintain traffic flow through Houlton.
