    I-95 Restrictions for Concrete Barrier Installation in Stonington and North Stonington

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that vertical face concrete barrier will be installed along I-95 Northbound at three bridge locations (Pequot Trail, North Anguilla Road and Boom Bridge Road from May 19 to June 10, 2026.

    Vertical face concrete barrier wall will be constructed along the right-side edge of I-95 Northbound at Pequot Trail bridge, North Anguilla Road bridge, and Boom Bridge Road bridge. These vertical face concrete barrier walls will protect these bridge piers from vehicle collisions and prevent the chance of catastrophic damage to these overhead bridges. These vertical face concrete barrier walls will be constructed between May 19 and June 10, 2026. During this time the right shoulder will remain closed.

    This project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2026.

    There will be right shoulder closures along I-95 northbound at Pequot Trail, North Anguilla Road and Boom Bridge Road bridges. Pavement line striping, traffic control devices including concrete barriers, drums, signage, and state troopers will guide motorists through the work zones.

    Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
