Lane and Ramp Closure, Detours for I-95 Work in Delaware

The Delaware Department of Transportation announces to motorists that their contractor will have nighttime lane closures on I-95 southbound between Route 141 northbound/southbound and Route 4 on Thursday, July 23, 2020 for sign structure foundation installation.

In addition, the following ramps will also be closed for bridge girder installation.

Times and Dates: 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 until 5 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2020, pending weather.

Locations: Route 141 Northbound to I-95 Southbound, Newport I-95 Southbound to Route 141 Southbound, Newport

Detour Routes:

Route 141 Northbound to I-95 Southbound

  • For traffic on Route 141 northbound: Motorists will take the ramp to Route 4, continue straight onto Marshall Street , turn left onto westbound Route 4/Justis Street, turn left onto James Street, turn left onto eastbound Route 4/Market Street, take the ramp to Route 141 southbound, take the ramp to US 13 northbound and take the ramp to I-295 southbound to reach I-95 southbound.

I-95 Southbound to Route 141 Southbound

  • For traffic on I-95 southbound: Motorists will take the ramp to Route 141 northbound, take the ramp to Route 4, continue straight onto Marshall Street , turn left onto westbound Route 4/Justis Street, turn left onto James Street, turn left onto eastbound Route 4/Market Street, and take the ramp to Route 141 southbound.

Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
